In order to rent the Recreation Center, renters agree to be bound by the rules for renting the Pickens Recreation Center as stated below.

1. The use or possession of alcoholic beverages on Pickens Recreation property is strictly prohibited.
2. Smoking or other use of tobacco is not permitted in the facility.
3. Groups renting the facility are financially responsible for all damages created by any member of their group or persons in attendance at events sponsored by the renting group.
4. Food and Drinks are not allowed in the gym with the wooden floor. Food and drinks are allowed in the gym with the synthetic floor. The renting group is responsible for cleaning up spills on the floor.
5. Climbing or hanging from the dividing curtains and/or basketball goals is prohibited.
6. Gathering and disposal of trash is the responsibility of the renting group.
7. Wheeled devices such as skateboards, bicycles, rollerblades, etc. are prohibited within the facility unless approved by the Recreation Director in writing.
8. Doors to each room and/or outside shall not be propped open.
9. The renting group is responsible for assuring that all areas of the facility are securely locked when leaving the facility.
10. Sub-renting of spaces within the facility is prohibited.
11. Profanity is prohibited on Pickens Recreation property.
12. The use of Recreation telephones is prohibited.
13. All lights shall be turned off when leaving the facility.
14. The sale of concessions is the exclusive right of Pickens Recreation. No other groups may sale concessions, food or other perishable items on the Recreation Center property.
15. The Recreation Center does not provide balls or other athletic pieces of equipment to renting groups. The use of the volleyball standards and nets are included in the rental fee and will be set up an dismantled by Pickens Recreation staff. Advance notice of the need for the volleyball systems must be made at the time of the rental.
16. Rental fees must be paid at the time of reservation of the spaces. Cancellation of the reservations less than 48 hours prior to the reserved time will result in forfeiture of 50′% of the rental fee. Cancellation of the reservations less than 24 hours prior to the reserved time will result in forfeiture of 100% of the rental fee.
17. Reservation of spaces starting at 9:00 pm are not available.
